Day 1 – Arrivel at the Ben Gurion airport. Assistance by our representative, transfer to Jerusalem hotel.

Day 2 – Drive through the Judean Desert, down to the lowest place in the world -400 m. A cable car ride up to the mountain top fortress of Massada. Next a visit of Qumran Caves- this is the location where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered in 1948 and written over 2000 years ago. Here you will have a chance to float on the Dead Sea, which is an experience you will not want to miss. Back to our hotel in Jerusalem.

Day 3 – Sightseeing in the new city including the Israel Museum’s Shrine of the Book with the famous Dead Sea scrolls, new Supreme Court bldg. Mt Herzl and Yad Vashem (the memorial to the six million Jews who were killed in the Holocaust). Then visit the model of the Herodian city of Jerusalem dating back to the time of the Second Temple in the Israel Museum. Afternoon visit Ein Karem (the birth place of John the Baptist). Return to Hotel.

Day 4 – Visit the Old City, the Pools of Bethesda and the Church of St. Anne (this is the location Jesus had healed a man in the waters). We move on to the Judgment Hall of Pilate where Christ stood bound as a prisoner. While walking along the Via Dolorosa, we are reminded of His way of suffering. The Church of the Holy Sepulcher is last for the day, which was built over Golgotha and the crucifixion site.  Continue to walk through the Jewish Quarter, the Roman Cardo, and finally we will arrive at the Western (Wailing) Wall.

Day 5 – At the necessary hour, transfer to the airport.

As a Bible teacher with over 35 years of experience, I was pleased to find that I felt comfortable with Moti’s answers to my questions. His knowledge of Israel’s history and geography (both biblical and modern), and his way of presenting the facts, made each day of the eleven in the Promised Land so very interesting.
