Famous for its temple of Artemis, one of the seven wonders of the ancient world, and for housing one of the seven churches named in the book of revelation,

Ephesus is an historic and sacred destination almost beyond compare.

On this 8-hour shore excursion from Kusadasi  Port you will receive a private guided sightseeing tour with air-conditioned transport to and from Ephesus.

On arrival at Ephesus we enter through the Magnesia gate and begin a slow, downhill walk with your guide into the ruins of the former Roman provincial capital Your route will take you past the temple of Hadrian, the fountain of Trajan, the great theatre and the spectacular Celsus library.

The showpiece of the archaeological remains, the library stands in remarkable ruins as a testament to the intellectual prowess of the Romans. At one time it may have contained as many as 15,000 scrolls in reading rooms where scholars met and studied. This is probably the most photographed exhibit!

After Ephesus we take a short but scenic journey  to the church oftThe Virgin Mary .

According to Christian tradition, Mary was brought to Ephesus by the apostle John after the resurrection of Christ and lived her final days here. This church was erected on the foundation of that house, and its authenticity has been confirmed by Pope Paul VI and Pope John Paul II.  many visitors describe this as an uplifting or spiritual experience.

You will also see ruins from the Ottoman empire and early Christian period. You will visit the house of the Virgin Mary. The Vatican has recognized this small house in the Solmissos mountains as the final resting place of Mary, mother of Jesus.

A small shrine dedicated to St. Mary was found when the ruins of the house were first discovered. Many visitors have described this as a spiritually uplifting experience.

You will visit the site of the temple of Artemis, one of the seven wonders of the ancient world, dedicated to the goddess Diana, before transferring back to Kusadasi Port for your evening cruise activities or departure.

I booked two separate day trips with Ada Vegas; one for Ephesus and one for Pamukkale. I also booked a transfer from my hotel to the airport in Izmir (they were prompt and got me to the airport in plenty of time). Both of my trips were outstanding! The bus picked me up in front of my hotel on time, actually they were early both times. The tours were educational, interesting, and fun. I had the pleasure of being lucky enough to get Niko as my tour guide for both trips. He is the best tour guide I had out of all my trips. He is easy going and builds rapport and trust with everyone. He is smart, informative, and motivated to give a great tour. His command of english is excellent. If you book with Ada Vegas, be sure to ask for Niko. I highly recommend this travel Company for your touring in Kusadasi and Turkey.

I organized a small group private tour from Kusadasi to Ephesus and the surrounding area. We had a cruise stop there in October 2015, and we were met at the arrival gate of port by our guide(our names were on a sign) and driver. This was a full day tour, but we were back to the ship in plenty of time. Our guide Ilker was very pleasant and very knowledgeable about all our stops. Yuksel was very easy to deal with when setting this up, and I would highly recommend Adavegas travel.

Private tour was relaxed, informative, and custom-tailored to us. Our tour guide Mehmet was very nice and very knowledgable. I’ve been to Ephesus twice, once alone and once with this private tour, and the ancient city really came alive the second time I visited with Mehmet. Great stories and historical information. The coach van was also really nice. We visited the Virgin Mary’s house, Ephesus, the Church and Castle of St. John, the Temple of Artemis… We had a great Private tour of Ephesus! Highly recommended!

We found Ada Vegas Travel in an online search, checked them out on Trip Advisor and booked a two person tour.
Everything worked exceptionally well. From the initial email contact the team were very helpful. We were collected at the port exactly where and at the time agreed. The vehicle was clean and comfortable.
The driver was great, unlike some tours we have been on, he drove safely and steadily for the whole day.
The guide was also excellent, not only with knowledge of the sites we visited but also about Turkey and the culture in general.
The advantage over ship based tours, for us, was the ability to go at our pace and not be “pushed” to visit tourist shops. Not only that, our two person tour was less than a ship based tour.
Very easy to give a top score and strong recommendation if you visit ephesus.

We booked this day Ephesus excursion after reading about Ada vegas travel on Trip Advisor. We found them to be very professional, personal, on time and easy to book/use. The most important feature was that we were able to customize our day and we got to some sites before the hoard of tourists arrived. That was an added bonus. Our day included a visit to the Artemis Temple, The House of Virgin Mary, St. John Basilica Tour, and Terrace Houses, all which were excellent tours. Our lunch included a local restaurant in the business section of Ephesus which was very inexpensive, delicious and we got to sit outside. Many locals were dining so we knew we had come to a good spot. Originally I did not want to stop at a rug factory; as we were driving back to the port, our guide gently asked if we wanted to stop at a local factory which turned out to be a cooperative of area families. The owner was very informative and not pushy and my husband got a real appreciation into the art of rug design and production. All in all a good day. Our tour guide spoke excellent English and was knowledgeable and our driver was great,
When we visited the House of Mary we were told that there was a mass at 10:30 but it was not very close to the actual House and therefore not something we could do. When we returned to the ship, we met a couple who told us that their small group had gone to the mass and it was actually very close to the actual house of Mary. As practicing Catholics, visiting Ephesus on a Sunday we would have loved to go to the mass especially since the mass is conducted by Polish priests and my husband is Polish. I can not fault our guide for this as we did not include this in our plans. In hind site if I had known about this we would have loved to go to mass and have this experience at this site of religious significance. Highly recommended Ephesus tour with Ada Vegas Travel.

Best Ephesus Tour;
Back home in Texas and reflecting on our 7-Day Mediterranean Cruise from Venice to Croatia to Greece to Turkey, a private guided Ephesus tour with Ada Vegas Travel, was the highlight of our vacation! Booking was easy, and easy to find our guide just outside the ship terminal. This is a first class tour! Our Guide Ozan was extremely knowledgeable about ancient roman history, Turkey history, and cultures. Ozan is down to earth, and has a great since of humor with is way of coming up with Turkey related quizzes. So, do your homework! We obviously did not. LOL! He spoke excellent English, which even a Texan can understand. We spent pretty much the whole day exploring and ancient city, the Terrace Houses are not to be missed!, as well as the House of Virgin Mary and the Sirince Village for quick hassle free shopping. We also stopped by for a delicious traditional Turkish lunch and a cold beverage at My Mama’s Kitchen. Before dropping us off back at the ship, we had enough time to make an additional stop where they make traditional handmade rugs and a demonstration on how it’s all done –no extra charge. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone! If you see Ozan, tell him we said Hello. And, if you happen to see a statue of Bes in a gift shop, please ship me one 🙂

We arranged this Ephesus tour online and it was a really great experience. The ruins at Ephesus are amongst the most interesting I’ve visited. I never heard of this historical site until we booked the cruise to the Greek Islands. This is an outstanding experience, especially the Terrace houses which were the best part of the tour. The private guide we hired was excellent, very knowledgeable and worth the price. We had both a driver and a guide and I would recommend this company as opposed to the cruise ship excursion!

My daughter and myself arrived at the port of Kusadasi on a cruise ship and Ozlem was waiting for us as we disembarked. We did the Foodies of Ephesus day trip and what a great day we had. We started out with a beautiful traditional Turkish breakfast then moved onto the spectacular ruins of Ephesus, I am not really into the whole ruins thing but Ozlem was a fantastic guide and really knew her stuff.. Then we went for lunch it was onto our Ottoman’s lunch which was really yummy.
My daughter and I had a great day with Ozlem and would do the whole thing over again if we are lucky enough to go back to Turkey.

Outstanding Ephesus Tour and Tour company

Our tour through Ephesus and the Terrace Houses with Ozlem at Ada Vegas Travel could not have been a more wonderful experience! The eight of us were greeted at the port by a beautiful young woman and a very spacious van. We spent the day in the company of a expert tour guide. Be sure to request Ozlem as your guide. We enjoyed a full day of seeing Ephesus, the Terrace Houses, the House of the Virgin Mary and the Basilica of St John. We also had a delicious authentic Turkish lunch and visited a carpet school. In addition, Mr. Yuksel of Ada Vegas travel went above and beyond my expectations when he helped me with a most difficult situation regarding a purchase I made in Turkey. Out of desperation, I contacted him, and he acted as my agent in Turkey to help me resolve my problem. I will forever be grateful for this gentleman. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this man and his tour company. You will not go wrong in any way booking a tour through Ada Vegas travel!

What an amazing place to visit. What a great price of history. The restoration makes you realize just how impressive the place was/is It does get hot and is beat to do from top to bottom.

The façade of the library was my top attraction of the Ephesus complex tour. Make sure to take photos approaching, entering and observe the specific detailing of this amazing work of art. This has to be one of the most complete ruins exhibits around and take the time to see it all.

June 13, 2016

Ephesus has some of the best ruins the we saw on our Mediterranean cruise. It was raining when we went and the main road was paved with marble so that made it slick. The good news is it is fairly flat and even people with walking difficulties made it around easily by just taking it slowly. Our tour guide, Ilker, was very knowledgeable and incredibly nice. I felt very safe during the tour and thoroughly enjoyed the attraction. I hope to go back one day.

Ephesus ancient city is a most visit within your life.
Its great, lovely and heritage.
I am very happy to visit Ephesus and will not forget such a valuable place as a human resources for all nations and all times.

July 4, 2016

On traveling to this site, I really did not understand the size of what we were about to see. The site is huge and what has been discovered and restored is amazing.

Whole streets and buildings which easily represents life in a bustling city over many centuries is there for all to see. The public buildings were a sight to behold, such as the Theatre, are monuments to a very creative population who built these buildings.

July 8, 2016

A lot of walking because there truly is so much to see. Make sure to wear comfy shoes, a hat and bring water. It gets really hot so be prepared. Went at opening to avoid crowds. This is a remarkable and truly amazing place. The library is unbelievably beautiful. The mosaic details in the Terrace Houses were very intricate. There are signs that outline the history of what you are looking at however hiring a private tour guide is affordable and offers so much more insight. The tour guides are knowledgeable, friendly and can answer a magnitude of questions you may have.

July 8, 2016

Best Roman ruins we have seen outside of Rome and Tunisia. The site is extensive (even though so much of it has not yet been exposed). Use a well-informed guide and travel agency like adavegas to have more information truly.

July 14, 2016

There are not enough words to adequately describe the experience of standing among the ancient stones and ruins at Ephesus. Whether your interest is mythology, ancient culture, Christianity, archeology or anthropology, Ephesus will appeal to all. And do not miss to buy this great organized tour from Adavegas. Thanks a lot

We enjoyed this tour more than any others. Our guide was so professional and was very informative. He was very considerate of our well-being as well. It was brutally hot, but he did his best to keep us comfortable. The rug tour was great as well in fact we did purchase one. Superb!!

September 25, 2016

We hired this company through Trip Advisor. We were nervous because of everything that is going on in Turkey right now. Ilker allayed all of our fears the moment we got into the van. We toured the beautiful ruins and Ilker was very knowledgeable and polite. It was one of my husband’s favorite destinations on the cruise. I highly recommend this company, we didn’t know what to expect and were very pleased.
