Biblical Ephesus Tours

Before the half day Ephesus tour Your guide will meet you at the arrival’s gate of Kusadasi port with a sign your name is written on, then be driven to the sites.our first stop will be the Ephesus ancient city. The Ephesus visit together with your local Ephesus guide will be a walking tour taking you throughout one of the most surprising excavations in the world. You will see the Odeon,The Fountain of Trajan, Terrace houses, the baths of Scholastika, the temple of Hadrian and magnificient Celsius library . The library is adorned with columns and statues.

The Grand Theater, where Saint Paul preached, is a huge theater with a capacity of 24,000 seats. You will return to the bus through the Arcadian Way, where Mark Anthony and Cleopatra once rode in procession. The visit of Ephesus city will take nearly 2 hours.

The next stop will be ST Johns Basilica, It is believed that the evangelist St. John had spent his last years in the region around Ephesus and buried in the southern slope of Ayosolug Hill. Three hundred years after the death of St. John, a small chapel was constructed over the grave in the 4th century. The church of St John was changed into a marvelous basilica during the region of Emperor Justinian (527 -565 AD)

The next stop on the tour is the Temple of Artemis (Diana, Artemission), which was built in honour of the Greek Goddess of hunting, wild nature and fertility named Artemis.

The temple is counted as one of the Seven wonders of the ancient world and it used to be the largest marble temple in the ancient Greek world. The temple served as both a marketplace and religious institution. Nowadays you can see only a few remains of this magnificent structure. Your guide will describe its importance existed between the Romans and Christians.

At the end of the tour we offer to you a lunch (optional) and then we drive you back to Kusadasi port.

Our driver Resul and our guide Selcuk treated us like royalty on this one day tour of Ephesus. At every stop they jumped out to open our car doors and often asked if we wanted to make unsceduled stops. Selcuk made the tour extemely interesting with his kowledge of the ruins and what life was like so long ago. Be sure to visit the Terrace Houses, it is worth the extra cost. He allowed us ample time to wander on our own and to take pictures whenever we wanted, even volunteering to take pictures of us. We were also able to learn what life was like in present day Turkey. Be sure to wear comfortable walking shoes, sunscreen, a hat and have lots of water-it was hot! All in all the tour was infrormative, interesting, at times humourous and personal and I would highly recommend this tour, especially if you get Resul and Selcuk as your guides. This one day tour was the highlight of my holiday!

Ephesus Tour From Kusadasi; I was looking to book a trip and was walking down Attaturk Bulvari in Kusadasi when I came across the Ada Vegas Travel. Yuksel the owner was excellent and we booked a trip to Ephesus and a trip to a local Hamam or Turkish Bath (22nd and 23rd May). Both trips were a wonderful adventure in the culture and customs of Turkey and excellent value for money.
I thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Ephesus which also took in the House of the Virgin Mary, a tour of a Fashion Show with Leather garments, a wonderful carpet shop, and of course 2 hours in Ephesus + Artemis. The whole day 08:50 till 4.0 pm was just £59 each. The guide Kay (Ilkay) was superb and should be a presenter on television – well done to Yuksel for using him! I have never seen carpets been woven or silk yarn being made, or a potter making a vase. The minibus was wonderfully air conditioned and well driven and all 8 tourists enjoyed a marvellous day including some excellent food for lunch. Very well done! Dr David Mannion. I fully recommend this Kusadasi Tour Operator for Ephesus Tours

Wanderfull Ephesus Tour from Kusadasi port;
Our tour guide Necdet Yildiz was a joy. He was very knowledgable about the history of Greece and his native Turkey. We had a wonderful time seeing the ruins of ancient Ephesus as well as some of the cultural things of modern day Turkey.

I booked a tour for 8 from the port of Kusadasi to Ephesus, the Terrace Houses, the house of the Virgin Mary and the Basilica of St John.
There was a mix up of time between our ship and local Kusadasi time due to daylight savings time changes, and bless her heart, Ahu Taylan waited at the port for us well over an hour till we docked and disembarked. We were taken to an extremely comfortable van and Ahu took us through the sites mentioned above. Ahu and Ada Vegas Travel made the day easy by having all the entry tickets in hand for us. aHU made the places come alive with her commentary and wonderful English. Don’t miss the Turkish lunch or the carpet demo. Both were extraordinary. One of the couples in our group bought a Turkish rug and is having it shipped home. They are simply gorgeous. If you have any interest in a real Turkish rug, bring your room measurements. This is a low key place with lovely people. We had a full day of touring yet at the end of the day, Ahu was ready to suggest other places for us to see to extend our day. I highly recommend Ada Vegas Travel. Mr. Yuksel responds quickly to all email inquires. Our ship changed our port time in Kusadasi, and Mr. Yuksel was able to change our tour time to accommodate us. Be sure to request Ahu for your day of touring Ephesus!

Our Best Tour of Ephesus from Kusadasi;
A group of us (11people) visited Kusadasi/Ephesus on a day trip as part of our cruise on The Crystal Serenity. As we wanted as private tour I had arranged a private Ephesus tour from Ada Vegas Travel who have been excellent from the word go!. I had a online chat with with Yuksel tasdemir who efficiently finalised itinerary and booking for me.
On arrival to Kusadasi Port, upon disembarking, Ilkay Candar, our guide was already waiting for us with a great big smile and spoke perfect English! His diction was so good that we thought that he must have lived overseas for a number of years! Amazingly, he has not!
Ilkay is so bubbly that he made everyone immediately relaxed and comfortable as she narrated the history of the region. We started with The House of Mary then proceeded to the ancient city of Ephesus before ending at the Church of St John and taken back to the port.
We were in a very clean Mercedes Benz van with a very competent and courteous driver who keep handing out to us cold bottled water. Unfortunately we were not able to communicate much with him as his English is rather limited. but Ilkay and the driver make a great team!! We made a few unplanned stops which was happily catered to. So thank you to Ada Vegas Travel and Ilkay!

Private Ephesus and terrace houses tour;
We had a private tour with Ephesus tours of the ruins of ancient Ephesus, four people and our guide and driver. It was informative, included the Terrace Houses that the other tours did not do, and all at a much lower price than the cruise ship without all the people and crowded buses. Ada Vegas Travel %100 recommend

Our cruise docked early, but our guide, Ilker Avci, was there waiting for us. Ilkay was knowledgeable about the sites and-more important-excited about her country. He obviously enjoyed telling us about life in Turkey as well as the things he was showing us. We requested a change in the itinerary in the middle of the tour-no problem. I would recommend this tour operator and this guide to anyone who wants to see this area. Incidentally, the price of our private tour was less than the “excursion” rate quoted by our ship for what turned out to be a cattle car experience according to people who went on the ship’s trip.

We Booked our private ephesus tour with Ada Vegas Travel online. We recently visited the town of Ephesus. It is by far the best historical ruins I have ever seen. You could really imagine the entire town as a lively thriving community. it was the first example of an entire community intact of all the ruins and historical cities I have visited.. It was truly amazing and should not be missed. I would pick Ephesus over the Arcropolis or Athens as the best place to visit and even over Rome historical sites as well.
The entire town is pretty much intact and you can actually see a lifestyle of a very highly intelligent community.

We were on an organised tour direct from cruise ship and got there early in the morning essential to avoid the crowds and/or heat later in the day. Very well preserved/restored in places. And they are still discovering more! A must if in this area. Thanks for everything.
