I stayed here with my partner in May 2014, the hotel is just gorgeous, spotlessly clean, well maintained and really beautifully furnished and styled. The hotel is on the very edge of Kusadasi, high on the hill, you can walk down into the town with all the shops, bars and restaurants in one direction, or for the beach go the other way and walk along the road towards another smaller resort called ladies beach, with bars and sea view restaurants.
I really liked this hotel, it would have been perfect except for two negatives ( for me personally) Breakfast could have been better, they need more choice, I thought the food was very geared towards German and Dutch tastes and I don’t doubt they get lots of visitors rom Germany and Holland but they need to cater for a wider clientele, I would have loved to see croissants, fruit and a choice of cereals and eggs. There was no hot food.
A cook did appear twice in the week and set up a little hot food/frying station outside but I was dismayed to see he only had the one frying pan. I am a vegetarian so I couldn’t risk having an egg in case they used animal fats and as only one pan I didn’t know what else had been fried in it.
The other disappointment for me is there was no water provided in the room, this is a big negative for me.
Most hotels I have stayed in do provide water, from high end to the cheapest back packer hostels in Thailand, I have always been relieved and delighted to find a cold bottle of water in the fridge! I must mention the Mercure hotel in Limoges France here, as they go one step further, providing a small cotton day backpack with water, biscuits croissants and sweets! It is the little touches that make huge impressions!
There was a fridge so they could have easily popped a couple of cheap bottles in it To make it worse they did not allow us to bring our own water in, I bought a few large bottles from the supermarket and keep in the room as I need to drink during the night wherever I am and especially in 80 degree heat as did my partner. One afternoon I took some to the pool with me and was immediately told by the waiter I could not drink it there, I had to buy a bottle from him. I felt this was a bit petty as we had been buying cold drinks and food from the bar, I think it is wrong to stop guests drinking your own water and it is definitely something the management needs to address as it did really ruin my experience of the hotel and I won’t go back because of it, people need lots of water in the heat, they shouldn’t be prohibited from drinking their own water.
So in all, Carina, location, fab if you like a walk and stunning sea views, peace and quiet ( there is a road that runs along past the hotel you can’t see it as the hotel is higher up not much traffic and noise minimal)
Décor, room standard, bathrooms, faultless, stunning,
Staff, polite and welcoming ( water telling off aside)
Breakfast great if you like salami and sausage
Pool -gorgeous, loungers quality wood and cream pads, gorgeous
See photos and hotel website for all details.
Cost great value
In all, a fabulous boutique style hotel, just sort out the water issue and breakfast choices and no one could have a fault with this place.
everything else was lovely except

I stayed at Carina Hotel for two nights and had a wonderful stay. The people in my tour group all agreed on just how stylishly cute the rooms were. The hotel overall had the appearance of a very nice boutique, and I could see meticulous attention was paid to the design of the place. Most rooms have a beautiful view of the sea from the balcony. The meals (dinner, breakfast) served were traditional Turkish dishes, but rather simple. The waiter was friendly, polite and gentlemanly. The hotel is also very quiet during this season it seems, as I didn’t encounter any other guests during my stay. Would definitely recommend!

Absolutely recommendable in all categories. Staff, location, cleanliness, style, price, service.
What we loved: Design of pool area, rooms, terrace, lobby, friendly staff, omlette and pancakes, free delicious cinnamon cookies at the reception, free wifi and free water bootles in the room every day.

what can be improved: a selection of tea bags and orange juice, water and coffee drinks (cappuccino, latte macciato etc.) and more fruits than just melon for breakfast would be nice. And a shower at the pool area is also missing.

We had a triple room with an unbelievable view of the Aegean. Balcony off the room with a view of the pool area and the Aegean. Breakfast was great with someone making omelets in the pool area. Dinner was adequate with a buffet that had wonderful vegetables and desserts but the meat dishes on the buffet were not good. Sitting too long in the food warmers. The staff in the dining room were very accommodating. About.

Located near the city center, all rooms with great sea views, nice swimming pool, good restaurant buffet, excellent service and extremely friendly and helpful staff. The hotel is a 20 minute walk from the city center but a mere five minutes by the No. 5 mini-bus which comes by almost every 10 or 15 minutes. The rooms were comfortable, although the free Wi-Fi was inadequate and we couldn’t get signed in at all despite my plea for help at the front desk. all in all, I would happily recommend this hotel.
