Was a dream to stay at pera palace istanbul;
We stayed at the Pera place after xmas for 6 nights. It was delightful and such a welcoming place. The staff were superb and always very helpful. We really enjoyed the New Year’s Eve party organised at the hotel too. Can’t wait to go back as we were made so welcome and no request was hard to be fulfilled by the management for us. A real gem of s place. Thank you for such a warm comfortable stay.

Pera palace istanbul – Agatha Cristhy;
You want to visit Istanbul with style this is the place to stay. From the minute our taxi stopped next to the hotel’s entrance
we have been taken care as if we were the hotel’s only guests.
Friendly fast and professional service, beautiful very comfortable, clean and large rooms and this special atmosphere that makes you want to stay longer.
Just one recommendation for the hotel management please use reel Nespresso capsules as the copies are really disappointing.
Looking forward to stay at this Hotel again.

Pera palace istanbul;
We checked into this fabulous Palace as the sounds of the call to prayer drifted over the neighborhood, adding an exotic touch. We found our suite delightful and the view amazing. Our kids’ room was nearby and also delightful. Refined luxury. Excellent service. Great linens, bedding and amenities. Great breakfast buffet in the mornings with top-notch service. A wonderful experience! Since coming home, we have read more about Pera Palace we wish we’d known before we left-read Midnight at there Palace by Charles King before you go. Be sure to visit Hemingway’s room-our kids have a unique understanding of his novels now. We also really appreciated the concierge service and wish I knew the name of the dark haired woman who so consistently helped us, but I’ve waited too many months to write this, and her name now escapes me. We hope to return someday to thank her again in person. Exquisite! (Only downside was the pastry shop that extends off the lobby & sells macaroons- it was overpriced and the goodies were stale. I’d avoid it, but it seemed to be different management than the hotel.) We weren’t sure if we should stay here or in the heart of things in Sultanahmet and we are glad we chose this quiet neighborhood and historic hotel. Just be sure to negotiate all cab fares BEFORE you drive off and, if needed, use the doorman to help negotiate a correct price.) Be sure to walk to dinner/go shopping on nearby Istiklal street-you can also walk to Galata Tower. This was a great experience! We highly recommend Pera Palace to anyone who are going to visit istanbul!

Agatha Cristy – Pera palace Istanbul was Top!
I had stay for 3 nights in this hotel, staying with my coworker for a short holiday.
This is my first time to visit Istanbul and staying in Pera Palace Hotel Jumeirah is just something which is making my holiday amazing and unforgettable.
We was welcomed by a lovely lady which I believe is Ebru. The checked in was nice and quick, we had a nice warm tea which I love it so much, since the weather outside was very cold. We was escorted by Irem, she was amazing, friendly and professional. We get chance to know more about the hotel, thanks to her and also we ride the 100 y’o elevator.
We had breakfast in Agatha restaurant, which was really nice buffet option and not so crowded, the staff was really helpful, so sorry couldn’t mention their name here. My favorite food was the pancake.
Thank you to everyone who was taking care of us, our room attendant ladies, Elena and the supervisor who was so lovely arranging a nice flower in my room. To the Room service staff which is so nice and serving my order on time. Thank you to Mr. Murat who was very welcome and Evres who was really nice and helpful.
I love the hotel specially the view from my room, I can see the sunrise and sunset everyday from the balcony. Really enjoy my stay in the Hotel.
Just quick tips, for travelling for sight seeing around the Hotel better to take metro or train, or even by foot, because the Hotel is near with a lot of nice places, such as The Galata Tower, Hagia Sophia and The Blue Mosque.
Just be careful when taking a local taxi, make sure remember the car number or choose the nice driver, because we had one time very bad experience with the local taxi.
But definitely would love to come back to Istanbul and to this Hotel.

Istanbul and pera palace;
This is my third time staying at the Pera Palas Hotel. I hate leaving! The place is beautiful, the staff makes me feel as if I am their long lost favorite guests, service, food and ambience is just fantastic and definitely worth the splurge! And the history that goes with it…. A drink at the Orient Bar, a visit to the hamam/spa, wandering around the lobby, a visit to Ataturk’s room/museum – everything just makes you happy! And the location is great, too. Thank you to all for making my stay so perfect every time.
I just left and already look forward to my next visit. Thank you!

Wonderful historical hotel- Pera Palace istanbul;
We stayed at the Pera Palace on our way to join a cruise leaving from Istanbul. The hotel manages to capture the feel of Istanbul during the day of the Orient Express. Like most guests we took the ancient elevator to our room which overlooked the Golden Horn. Everything about this hotel and location worked. We thought the bar was a great example of a well renovated hotel space. Additionally we were able to see the suite that Ataturk occupied. This is not open everyday but we seemed to be at the Pera Palace during the right time.

Turkey Tours and Pera Palace Hotel;
My family and I had afternoon tea at the magnificent Pera Palace on the 13th Dec 2015, as part of my daughter’s 16th birthday celebration. Not only were we treated to the magnificent ambience and decor of yesteryear, with silver service, piano singer and attentive wait staff, but treated that bit special by the staff singing happy birthday and treating her to a cake with candle. The experience was memorable and any one would enjoy it, add the literary history of the hotel and you have an unforgettable experience .

Pera Palace hotel istanbul;
I cannot imagine a hotel with a better location to visit Istanbul. The historic rooms are very nice, the bedding is wonderful, the turndown and maid service is lovely. It really is beautiful, old and magnificently well-preserved. The staff are ultra-accommodating and very nice. They smile! They also make great recommendations. One of the guys ran out in the morning and bought tickets for a Sema performance for me – so nice of him. The bar was not crowded in the evenings, but nice place to hang out with the friendly young barmen. They sent someone to get fetch us from the GATE at the airport, and accompanied us on a special golf cart through a special Immigration line.

What a super hotel ! Jumeirah has renovated this hotel as it was at the time of the Orient Express. Of course that is not a budget hotel, but rooms are expensive in the attractive areas of Istanbul and the different of price is not so high in regards of the unique feeling that you can find at the Pera Palace.
Very professional and smart reception staff, immaculate rooms, old elevator as a sign of welcome when you arrive, free visit of the Ataturk bedroom, beautiful public areas. If you can afford it a room at the top level with a terrace with view on the Golden Corn is really magic at the sunset.
The location is one of the most attractive area in Istanbul. Not the most touristic one but full of young people, of shops, of restaurants and bars. Very safe place too to walk around , even during the night.
We have tried several other top notch hotels in Istanbul, but only the Ciragan Palace Kempinski Palace on the Bosphorus could really compete against the Pera Palace Istanbul.

We booked in here as it was two minutes walk to the office himself was working in. Agatha Christie stayed here when she wrote ‘Murder on the Orient Express’ other notable people too, and the hotel makes the most of it and tries to be very ‘period’ in a lot of its themes and furnishings. Everything very comfortable and the view of the Golden Horn is lovely. Bathroom not great, only a shower, and short on towel rails. Shower not as hot as it might have been on first night, but they sent someone immediately to sort it. Breakfasts wonderful, no need for lunch! The room is noisy, soundproofing between rooms ok but not total, and the road outside noisy right on to the early hours, much peeping of horns. We passed comment after our first night and said we might have to move, and they promised ear plugs, which were lying on the bed when we came back. These helped, but also we put on the a/c fan and that masked the noise, and we wish we had had the presence of mind to do that the first night! Spa is lovely, try the hammam, a great experience, even if you wonder if there is any skin left on your back. Nice pool, sauna, steam room and gym. Hotel summons taxis you can trust. It isn’t far to the main sights, and there is plenty to amuse within walking distance if you head towards Taksim square. Would stay here again now we have discovered the a/c trick if we wanted to be in this area. Haven’t eaten dinner here, too many other places to tempt in the vicinity.

Spent the weekend with friends in Istanbul, and decided to stay at the Pera Palace, what a great decision. The hotel is grand but intimate, the rooms lovely, and the staff superb. Special mention must be made of Ervan, who advised us on where to eat, and every other aspect of our stay, it was magical. Beyoglu is the place to stay, shops restaurants and full of life, and the historic sites only a taxi ride away.
One word of advice would be, take a room on the Golden Horn side, as night life can be a little loud and late on the Pera side, a minor quibble, I can’t wait to go back! 🙂

January 10, 2016

The history of the Istanbul Pera Palace hotel is remarkable in and of itself, but to stay there it is hard not to relive it personally. From Ataturk to Agatha Christie and the Orient express…very fun! The rooms are impeccable and the staff is simply magnificent, from the front desk check in experience to the breakfast buffet and the servers. What is not to like even if you can only stay a couple of nights..well worth it!

Staying at the Pera Palace was a treat from start to finish. You can’t help but appreciate the historical significance of this marvelous hotel, their respect for the past and their attention to detail. Without exception the staff were most helpful, efficient and truly warm and friendly. We stayed there twice and on our return visit we felt like we were coming home. The location is great for restaurants and shopping. We highly recommend.

Pera palace hotel; It is a very luxurious hotel with courteous helpful staff. Breakfast was good. The room wasn’t overly large but comfortable. It overlooked a daggy part of town. Location was good, only a short walk to Le Tunel, the metro and a tram to Taksim Square.

Absolutely wonderful hotel in the heart of Instanbul. It took around 5 minutes for us to walk into the main tourist area, and we felt very safe. The hotel staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. Beautiful hotel decor and rooms. Would love to return one day for leisure rather than a business trip.

I were there some years ago. A very old house, everything old or so designed. I hope it is still so. It had simply a very impressive atmosphere. If it is still so, one shouldn’t miss it. Even the bath furniture was from the last century.

January 10, 2016

We stayed in the Pera Palace hotel for 1 night after our Windstar cruise. Our room on the top floor was spacious, very clean, and quiet. The hotel has all kinds of fun historical touches–Agatha Christie displays (this is where she wrote Murder on the Orient Express), a sedan chair that used to carry people from the Orient Express, a very old fashioned functioning telephone in the hall etc. The hotel feels like an old movie set; one gets the sense of being immersed in a older era, but the hotel has all the modern conveniences. The food was fine, but nothing special. The staff were friendly and helpful. I was a little reluctant to go to Istanbul, but I felt very safe in this hotel.
