    I arrived in Istanbul on a cruise ship. Several passengers from a Cruise Critic Roll Call booked the tour together. I think there were 24 of us. We were split into two separate mini-buses. On the first day the ship docked around Noon and we were able to get off the ship around 1 pm. At first I missed the guide with the sign, but called and found him. There were just so many people outside of the port. Our guide was Martin. He was friendly, knowledgable and willing to answer questions. The first day we went to Topkapi Palace and then on a Bosphorus Cruise. We got back to the ship after dark and it was kind of chilly on the Bosphorus, so if you are going in the winter make sure you have the appropriate clothing. The second day we left early and went to the Hippodrome, Blue Mosque, Basilica Cistern, Hagia Sophia, and the Grand Bazaar. At the Blue Mosque if you are female you must cover your head, so take a pashmina with you. The architecture of the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia are breathtaking. The Basilica Cistern was very interesting, but the floor is wet because the ceiling drips, so if you are unsteady on your feet be prepared. There were several in our group that had mobility issues and had trouble with the wet floors and the stairs. I could have skipped the Grand Bazaar. It’s essentially a giant indoor shopping mall where everyone harasses you to buy things, but most of our group really wanted to go. It probably just depends if you like to shop and haggle, but that is not for me. The only tip I would have for visiting Istanbul was the restroom issue. I avoided it if at all possible. The sanitary conditions were questionable and half the time there was no toilet paper. After the first day most of us brought some with us off the ship. Just plan accordingly. I did think Istanbul was fascinating and would recommend using Ada Vegas for a tour.

    Our Private Istanbul Tours;
    We finished our cruise in Istanbul and decided to stay on for an extra couple of days, which gave us a full day so myself and my wife did the Classical Istanbul tour with Adavegas Travel. We added on a visit to the Cistern as well. All communication was very efficient and and accurate and the whole day was excellent. We avoided the crowds, wherever possible and had an excellent lunch in a local restaurant sampling a whole range of local dishes. Our guide Dinc helped us to make a couple of purchases in the Grand Bazzar.

    We would recommend Dinc and Adavegas Tour company very highly.

    Our Private Istanbul Tour;
    Based on Trip Advisor ratings, I organized a private tour for 10 of my fellow cruise passengers via email. As promised, Ugur Unal, was waiting for us on the arrival gate. We were escorted to a new Mercedes van that probably could have accommodated at least 4 more people. Ugur was absolutely awesome, very informative, friendly and always counting to make sure we were all there. A very caring person and I can’t say enough good things about him. We beat the lineups at the Hagia Sophia arriving just before it opened. Then onto the Blue Mosque, Hippodome and Topkapi Palace. The tour was very reasonably priced compared to the ship’s tours and included all the entrance fees and lunch. We had the most delicious lunch at a very nice restaurant who were ready for all of us, with the table preset and salads waiting. We had a few main course choices and the food was delicious and arrived promptly. After a late lunch we went to the Grand Bazaar where we had an hour free time to shop. This Istanbul tour with Ugur(ada vegas travel) was awesome and I would not hesitate to book it, as everything was extremely organized and exactly as promised

    Private istanbul tour;
    We booked online with Ada Vegas Travel. We have been to lots of cities overseas in Europe and in Asia. But Istanbul is truly unique. Its history, its architecture, its culture, its vitality. But the experience was magnified many times because of our tour guide (Serdar). The fact that it was one-on-one guide made it feel so much more comfortable and allow us to observe and take in everything at our own pace. The guide was outstanding. He made us feel very comfortable in a strange setting very quickly. Very personable. Very knowledgeable. I have been to Istanbul before and have seen many of the tourist attractions. But his tidbits of information and most his taking us to places we would never have seen otherwise (the shops and roof above the Grand Bazaar, the fish shops and restaurants on the Asian side). An easy couple of days, but jammed pack with what we saw and experienced. I have more a tendency to see things on my own and do not care for large group tours, but I would absolutely recommend that, this is the way to see Istanbul!

    Tours of Istanbul;
    We were only spending 3 days in Istanbul and were keen to see as much as possible. Our Tour company was Ada Vegas Travel, Our tour guide Ugur was amazing at bringing to life the key sites in the city, as well as giving a real insight into the history of Turkey. He was incredibly knowledgable, and it was like being shown around by a friend. I 100% recommend using Ada Vegas Travel if you visit this wonderful city to really get the most out of your trip and have fun at the same time.

    Superb Private Istanbul Tours;
    We had a wonderful private tour of Istanbul on July 14 off our cruise ship. Our tour guide Mehmet was an informative tour guide who also knew where to go and when to be there. I highly recommend his services and this company (adavegas travel).
    From the moment we booked until our tour was complete, they were nothing short of courteous, helpful, and friendly. Questions were answered in a timely manner. Price was reasonable, and one of the most memorable parts of our tour was eating in a little back alley restaurant where the locals eat. The food there was fabulous and inexpensive.
    It is primarily a walking tour. Our group of 9 was very happy with the itinerary (Hagia Sophia, Byzantine Hippodrome, Blue Mosque, Grand Bazaar, Topkapi Palace, and Basilica Cistern) and the pace of the Istanbul tour.

    The history and scenery of Istanbul make it a wonderful place to explore.

    The Basilica Cistern is a highlight and recommend if you are debating on a visit.

    Best tour in Istanbul;
    Prior to the tour, I had to make many changes and they were extremely flexible with me. Our guide Elif was knowledgeable, professional, and allowed us to move at our own pace. My college-age daughter can be easily bored, but she was fascinated with the history and all the sights we saw. We did the classical istanbul tour and it was excellent. I highly recommend it – it was a great way to see the major sights of Istanbul in one day. Having a private guided tour saves so much time!!

    Booked our istanbul tour with adavegas travel 2 months before we left LA. Our guide Ms Elif was wonderful ! She always had a lovely smile on her face and a good sense of humor and we had a good driver too, always safe and putting the passengers first. Everything was dealt with professionalism and a smile and we never felt lost or insecure. I highly recommend this tour operator in Istanbul. Thanks Guys.

    “Enjoyable guides that allowed us to make Wonderful Memories in Turkey!”

    We are very grateful to have friends who invited us to plan our visit in Turkey with this turkish tour company.

    Yuksel was very responsive to our requests to what we had desired to see. He recommended a great and pleasurable hotel with a great staff for our stay in Istanbul.

    Due to time constraints, we had only 2 days, one day at Kusadasi and Ephesus and one day in Istanbul however with our great guides they made them incredible.

    Ms Ahu met us at the Kusadasi Port, and we began our day. She greeted us with a gentle smile and is very enjoyable to talk with. We quickly learned she is very knowledgeable and always allowed us to take our time and just to enjoy the view, .

    The traditional lunch that was included in the plans was awesome, It gave us a true taste of Turkish flavor.

    At each of the areas we visited with her, everyone was so friendly and made you feel like you were just part of the family. Her timing made the entire day very pleasurable!

    Istanbul, is simply amazing and i hope that you get the chance to experience it with the same guide we had.

    Tolga was simply AWESOME!. Because of the need to make some
    “Real-Time” adjustments( which were out of our control) , to our travel schedule he was able to handle the requests we had and make changes as we were enjoying the sights, always making sure he was present for any questions.

    We never felt rushed, and allowing us a very relaxing ride to enjoy the Bosphorus Boat tour without worry. At all of the sites, we explored he would explain to us about the area, and what we wanted to make sure we saw, even taking us up to certain spots, to make sure you see a certain view of an area. He always gave us time to explore on our own as we visited sites, and always gave us time to ask specific questions while touring about the area we were in.

    Again, at the right time, Lunch was provided and this gave us another wonderful experience of the Turkish food, and enjoying the flavors and still having time to relax.

    Tolga covered a lot of of area in our time with him, and we will have fond memories of our visit in Istanbul because of his efforts.

    Adavegas Travel is a truly a complete agency, Yuksel had arranged our transfer from the hotel, I was a little worried since it was a very early pick-up, Tolga again called and followed up and confirmed the transfer. The driver was very friendly and got us to the Airport very quick in time for us to enjoy breakfast before our flight.

    Words are not enough to express our appreciation for the services that Adavegas provided to us for our time in Turkey. I have let friends, colleagues and family know
    if they plan to travel to Turkey that I have the information for the agency and team to
    make their adventures very memorable!
