Travelling to Kusadasi for the first time, we were a bit disappointed, having stayed in a 5 stars hotel in Antalya. The sea is not the same, the beach is not the same and not even the food or the service. The hotel is ok and probably the best in the area, the rooms are big, clean with everything you want and need, they offer amazing natural soap and shower gel, and they are all equipped with bathtub. It is a very big hotel facing the yard, the parking lot, the pool, the sea, so make sure you know what you want when you book your room. The food was plenty as always in Turkey, but the buffet which was offered in the big restaurant `Sunrise` was within limited hours of service, meaning breakfast from 07-10, lunch between 12-14 and dinner 19-21 (hours may differ +/- half an hour). We arrived around 10 p.m. by car exhausted after so many km, and we were 4 families with children and didn’t receive a sandwich, they were closed, it was a very bad start for an ultra-all-inclusive hotel. In the rest of the day you could find food at the bar near the pool (mainly snacks and fast food) and above the beach at Agaios which again had fixed hours of serving food (only pizza from what I can remember). Drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic were available 24/7 only in the lobby, they were available during the day in all bars). We were surprised since in Antalya the concept of UAI meant food and beverages all day and night, we all are so different and follow our own skedule and habits of eating, we had to adjust. Don’t expect sea food or exquisite fish, you won’t find any, fresh vegs, salads, dressings, eggs, meat, some delicious pancakes, and their traditional desserts.Once per week you can dine in one of the a-la-carte restaurants that are beautifully located above the sea: Dolce Vita serving
Mediterranean cuisine, Dragon serving far east cuisine, Agaios – fish restaurant, and Kütük Ocakbaşı – traditional Turkish kepab, but they offer you only 3 or 4 options as menus. You have to go to the office next to the reception and book your table depending on availability and always after 7 p.m. The beach was disappointing, very narrow, sandy, but not clean, too few sunbeds, and the water very deep and cold, we blamed the period for it (although the end of June is not spring). All in all, a very good hotel, you have the comfort, the pool (a bit small for the number of guests the hotel can host), the sea (if you like it howsoever), the food if you’re not pretentious. They also have animators at the pool for some exercise during the day, some singers in the lobby in the evening, but no late-night parties like in Antalya.

Sealight resort hotel (5*) at Kusadasi south of Izmir

The hotel consists of a 7-storey relatively big building in a U-shape that encloses a large pool surrounded by palmtrees and other plants. The open end of the ”U” faces the Aegean Sea and several mountainous islands along the coast, in other words the site is beautiful. – I stayed there during the last week of november 2015. I had a room on the third floor at the end of the north wing of the ”U” with windows and and a balcony facing the sea and also windows facing that large outdoor pool, I guess that this location might have been one of the best of the whole hotel. Wi-fi service was free and worked everywhere in the hotel – Moreover the hotel has its own sandy beach that you can reach either via relatively steep stone stairs or a nearby walk. At the beach there was a lot of sun chairs and a restaurant that was closed for the season. The water looked clear and nice, I went there for a bathe on Sunday the 29th of november, of course it was not warm nor cold rather a bit chilly. – At a basement floor there also is a spa with a pool and several saunas and showers. – You do not need to get hungry during the day, there are three grand buffets for breakfast, lunch and dinner with an extensive choice for each of them. For all-inclusive guests there also is a special afternoon buffet with small hot dishes and all kinds of waffles and pastries. – Food quality proved to be generally good as also the service. – In the evening there was entertainment in the elegant lobby bar, during ”my” week performed by two women one playing piano and the other violin, the repertoire consisting of various hits.

Sealight Resort Hotel is a perfect resort. It has everything! Even the children is taken care of. There a several facilities for activities like tennis- & Badminton courts, Spa, Hamam, and a small Gym. With a wonderful view over the mountains and the Mediterrainian See you can enjoy the sunset in the evenings. This hotel has good rooms, good food and perfect service. In the evenings you will be entertained in different ways. 147 steps below the pool area is a small but nice beach with crystal clear water.

We experienced this hotel due a horrific flight delay by Thomas Cook – and I must say the staff at this hotel went above and beyond.
We arrived early last Thursday morning and we were checked in and in our room within 20 minutes – after 14 hours in an airport it was a relief.
We were able to go straight for some breakfast which was much needed as Thomas Cook hadn’t provided any food since the Wednesday evening. Fantastic choice available all freshly cooked.
The rooms were comfortable and clean. We also managed to have evening meal here and again the food was incredible – fantastic choice available and so fresh.
The hotel management and staff are a credit to the hotel – in such bad circumstances with an arrival of over 200 angry guests, they made us feel welcome and comfortable. Thank you Sealight.

We were unfortunately delayed at Izmir airport because of technical problems with two Thomas Cook planes. After a very long delay at the airport we were taken to this hotel.
The staff were very helpful and understanding! The room was lovely and the food was a delight.
Although we were only there for 15 hours we thoroughly enjoyed our time at the hotel.
There were over 200 of us delayed passengers – many were children – the staff were efficient and went out of their way to help us as quickly as possible and even helped us board the coaches back to the airport.
We would like to thank the staff and managers at the Sealight for all their help.
